Best way to replicate Nortel "speed dial group" on CUCM

I have users on a Nortel system that currently have something they call  a "speed dial group". This group is a list of extensions that are called when a  Nortel user presses a programmed speed dial button - then enters the speed dial  group number. And there is one user that is designated as the admin for that  group, so they can add/delete extensions.
I am trying to  replicate this functionality on CUCM 7.1.3. Here's what I've come up  with:
1. Create a line  group with "Broadcast" distribution, assign DNs
2. Create hunt list,  with line group and a hunt pilot number
3. Assign hunt pilot  number to a speed dial for AbbrDial softkey (I don't want to put these on the  line buttons)
Do you think the  above solution is the best way to go about it? Also, can I assign an individual  user to manage this list?
Thanks,
-mike

If you just need to dial and expect 1 person to answer your call from the line group, then yes.

Not familiar with the feature, is this just to call a group of people and expect someone to answer (just 1) or to call a group of people and make a conference? or something else I'm not mentioning?

As for managing the list since this is handled via CCMadmin you would need to grant access to someone so they can modify the settings.

However you cannot make him to only see and modify 1 line group, he could modify any line group.

Based on the description, that sounds like the most viable approach. In

regards to assigning end users to manage the lists, you won't be able to

assign a user the ability to manage a single list. The closest you can come

is to grant certain users the permissions to manage all line groups. You

will need to create a customer role and user group. They need to be able to

logon to CCMAdmin and they should have read permissions for hunt groups and

pilots. They will need to have write permissions to line groups. Testing

would be necessary to see if there is a requirement for read/write

permissions on other objects (like devices or lines).

The above assumes that you are using the native CCMAdmin solution. I

suppose you could write your own admin front end to facilitate a more

granular authorization method.
