Hi All,
Just running a test CUCM manager on VMware hence no tac case, both my BRI interfaces keep flapping every 15 seconds due to MGCP.
Could be the call manager, but its harder to post debugs from...
Calls all work fine cos its only down .1 secs
Any ideas on what to check??? THANKS!

check the layer 1 issue, check the cables if possible replace them with the new ones.
Do a shut and no shut on the BRI Interface.
Reload on the router if possible.

Thanks, but not layer 1, when MGCP is disabled services are 100%. router has been reloaded. Also rebuilt server on physical instead of VMware.
I believe it has something to do with MGCP timers but im not up to speed on those... any other ideas?
Cheers

Hi,
I have exactly the same problem. Did you find something?
Apparently it's not a problem for the calls, but it's strange...
Thank you.

Actually I havent fixed it, just a test system so im not too concerned. I think it affects a few calls as the BRI is down about 1% of the time, so not often but occassionally you might need to hit redial.
Which country are you in?

I am also having this issue - Did anyone resolve this?
Thanks

I recommned you use H.323 for BRI. MGCP is too buggy to be reliable.
05-19-2009 03:14 PM
Yes, unfortunately I never resolved it, just migrated to H.323 which doesnt report any errors. If you need a config just ask

Yes please James - Can you forward me an alternate H323 config - Thanks
