I'm in the initial stages of planning a new CUCM 6.x cluster to replace our current production cluster at 4.1(3). This is centralized call processing for roughly 10 sites. We are going to create a new cluster and move sites in one-by-one.
When I actually start the first server build, is it acceptible to have the server in the same network as the production cluster? I don't want anything in the initial build(s) to impact the production environment.
Any other considerations or gotchas I might run into?
Thanks,
Ken

Sure, as long as the hostname and IP address is different. But if the hostname is different DMA migration will not be possible if that's what you are planning on.

Thanks very much. I don't think we're going to use the DMA. There are some design issues I'd like to clear up with a 'fresh' build.
