We recently upgraded to CUCM 11, which added the "home cluster" options on the end user page. In our environment, all users are LDAP synchronized and we filter the users that are imported, so only our own region is synchronized and all of the imported users should have the home cluster option checked.
In order to allow users to utilize extension mobility, this option has to be checked, so I'm looking for a way to make the change in bulk and hopefully automatically for all users going forward. I know that it's possible to add users to groups when they're synchronized (for example, we are adding them to Standard CCM End Users and Standard CTI Enabled), but I can't find a way to modify other settings automatically on user import.
It looks like I can use BAT to set the home cluster for existing users, so that is not an issue, but it would be best if this is checked by default going forward. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

The home cluster option was not added on 11, it has been there since 10.x
If you want the home cluster option to be checked for new synced users, create a feature group template with the option checked, and associate to your LDAP agreement(s)

Feature Group Template is what you need to achieve this and then apply the same to your LDAP Directory. Refer below:

Yes, we skipped version 10. I'm sure this was an obvious question, but I was not familiar with feature group templates. I will look into it, thank you.
