Does anyone know if C892F-CUBE-K9 supports CME? I can't even locate any specs on this router. Does it have DSPs?
The Feature Navigator states that it supports CME (up to 8.6). However, it may need the SL-8XX-UC-K9 license to activate the CME-SRST features. I can't find any informatoin on this. I would also like to know if it can run CME, how many IP phones on CME it supports.
I'm trying to decide between C881-V-K9 and C892-F-CUBE-K9.
C881-V-K9 runs CME and supports 5 phones but requres the SL-8XX-UC-K9 license for CME.
Thanks.

Also, I forgot to mention that optimally, I would like to have the CUBE, CME, and SRST features in the router so that I could use it not only for my home telephony but also for my home voice lab.
It appears that C881-V-K9 would give me CME and SRST (with the SL-8XX-UC-K9 software license), but it does not have the CUBE feature in it (if I can trust the Feature Navigator). On the other hand, the C892F-CUBE-K9 comes with the CUBE license, and it supposedly supports CME (per Feature Navigator), but because I can't find any information on this router anywhere, it's unclear if I coiuld purchase the SL--8XX-UC-K9 license and activate CME/SRST features in it.
I really need more than 5 phones to be supported; eight phones would be optimal. So, I'm hoping that C892F-CUBE-K9 can run CME and supports 8 phones. Wishful thinking?
The reason I'm looking for a new router for CME is because the final CME version supported on the 28XX/38XX Series routers is 8.6. These first generation ISR routers can't run anything above 8.6. I need to pick up a few Cisco 8945 phones, but they are not supported in 8.6. The earliest version they are supported as SCCP phones is 8.8, and they are supported in 9.0 and above as both SCCP and SIP. So, it appeas my 2801 that I've been using for 7 years as a CME router has arrived at the retirement age.
Unfortunately, the next step up from C881-V-K9 is 1861E (which supports CME 8.8, 9.0, and 9.1), but it's much more expensive than 881-V, and I'm not prepared to pay that much for a router that only has marginal improvements over my 2801.
So, I'm keeping my fingers crossed for C892F-CUBE-K9. Please help me with the information if you have it.
Thank you!

I have Cisco 892W at home. It is great router with quiet fan, and powerfull with 8 ports switch built in.
I have advipservices and latest IOS showing CME at version 9.5. I will try to register Cisco 9971, but have not done it yet so far...

Please post the results of trying to register a phone with CME on the 892 router.
I ended up buying an 881-v router. The SL license that I was referring to in my original post is a paper PAK that Cisco charges $350 list price for. The CME-SRST feature is part of Advanced IP Services IOS image, and the UC software license is not enforceable on the 881-v router. UCK9 technology package is enforceable on the ISR G2 platform.
So, make your conclusion about buying the SL license if you are going to use this router at home.
On 881-v, when I issue "show run" (or "show license"), I don't see any license listed similar to ISR G1 routers.
I would be very interested in seeing if the 892 router can run CME. Also, could you change to the telephony-service mode. And see how many max-ephones and max-dn it supports? 881-v supports 5 ephones and 50 DNs.
Could you post the output of the show license command?
