Hi I have the following issue with call forward feature.
For the calls coming from the PSTN an user configure the call forward feature to another IP phone into the same network and it works fine but if the user try to configure the call forward feature to any number outside the network (to other PSTN numbers like mobile phone, house phones etc) it doesn’t work.
Any idea what colud be the posible cause of the problem?

make sure "call forward all" Calling search space has partition to access the route pattern for pstn number.

How do the calls go to the PSTN? Over PRI, SIP etc.?
If it is over a PRI, run 'debug isdn q931' on the gateway and try a test call for both the working and non-working scenario. Check who sends the disconnect.
Usually i have seen the Telco does not accept a calling party number which is outside the DID range of that location. Hence in your case when the call is forwarded to a PSTN number, the calling party number is the original caller, which is outside the DID range of that location. The Telco drops this call in order to prevent toll fraud. You need to confirm whether this is the cause of the issue in your case.
Hope that helps.

Nitesh
