Call Forward Original Party Number

Dear Gents,

I have a clarification on call forwarding , If i forward all my calls to mobile , when some body reaches my extension the forwarded call shows as main pri number instead of my did number. how can i configured to c my orginal caller id, during call forward?

Call Routing Information - Outbound Calls

Calling Party Selection

Any outbound call on a gateway can send directory number information. Choose which directory number is sent:

  • Originator—Send the directory number of the calling device.
  • First Redirect Number—Send the directory number of the redirecting device.
  • Last Redirect Number—Send the directory number of the last device to redirect the call.
  • First Redirect Number (External)—Send the directory number of the first redirecting device with the external phone mask applied.
  • Last Redirect Number (External)—Send the directory number of the last redirecting device with the external phone mask applied.

Calling Party Presentation

Choose whether you want the Cisco Unified Communications Manager to allow or restrict the display of the calling party phone number.

Choose Default if you do not want to change calling line ID presentation. Choose Allowed if you want Cisco Unified Communications Manager to send "Calling Line ID Allowed" on outbound calls. Choose Restricted if you want Cisco Unified Communications Manager to send "Calling Line ID Restricted" on outbound calls.

What needs to be configured, inorder to work?

Hi SIva,

Utilize calling party selection as "First Redirect Number (external)".

Save and reset the H323 gateway page on CUCM.

I did that still its not working

If you did save and reset the gateway page after making the change and it still did not work, I would recommend to open a TAC case to assist you from logs for the same.

Can u send me the steps how i can utilize the calling party section, can u give me some example scenarios.

Hi Siva,

If you go under the H323 GW page, you shall see a setting "Calling party Selection" as JB described above.

You just need to drop down the menu and select an appropriate one according to your requirement.

Now, let's say you have the following call example:

Original calling number : 987654321

Phone : 23452  with EPNM: 9999923452

Forwarded number : 765443298

Number going out with CFA with settings::

Originator  : 987654321

First Redirect : 23452

First Redirect (External) : 9999923452
