Hello,
I have deployed VoIP to a noisy environment; gIven the noisy environment, my clients have an external bell/ringer that needs to work at the same time one of the DIDs on a VoIP phone is called.
I have the external bell connected to a FXS port off of my 2800 CUBE router with calls traversing the MPLS link. I set things up by creating a dial-peer off the FXS port for the ringer and setup a VoIP phone in CUCM 8.5 with the same DID. When I call the asssigned DID, the external ringer rings, but the phones does not. The only way the VoIP phone will ring is if I don't have the bell configured on the FXS port.
I searched for ideas/answers on the board, and found that some said to use the stcapp option and to set the maximum call option to 2 or higher on the number in call manager. However, this made no difference; I can either have the bell ring, or the number - but not both.
Anyone have any ideas?
