Hi Techies,
Need a help in adding CP 8851 and 8831(conference phone) with CME running IOS version 15.3 (3)M3
Currently I have phones 7945 and 7925 configured in CME using CM-Full-9.1 package files, but searched for 8851&31 phones in latest package file ver 10.5 i couldn't find xml files for those models.
Can anyone please let me know the compatibility for 8851&31 phones with CME running 15.3 (3)M3 ver ??
thoroughly searched in CISCO websites but couldn't find any files or configuration related to it...appreciate your help

Check out the fast track feature available as of 15.3.3 which will provide support for these phones:

I have not had a chance to use the fast track feature, but that should provide you with the ability to define any new SIP phone model.

Hi Chris,
Have gone through the link you have shared with Ram.
I have tried installing the Japanese language on the 7940 on the CME 10.0 with ios 15.3.3.M3 and was successful.
However, when i try to find the fact file for 8851 in CME 10 (ios 15.3.3) it doesnt bring up the JAR File. While checking the TFTP events found that it is searching for sl-be-sip.jar file, which is not in the 10.0 fact file.
So i went ahead and installed the TAR file of japanese language for CME 10.5.0 and it got installed.
However, when I changed the configuration in voice register global and user-locale 0 JP, the language still stays as English.
Any thoughts around this?
Regards,
Hari.
