Call Manager icmp behavior

Hi,

Yesterday I've got a extrange behavior with a Call Manager.

The default gateway of the Call Manager is a Virtual IP, shared by 2 routers. When I ping the Call Manager from the router which is the master of the group, the ping arrives correctly (assuming the icmp limit of the CCM firewall), but when I tried to ping the CCM from the backup router, not even one ping was succesfull.

The only way to reach the Call Manager from the backup router was, pinging first the router from the Call Manager (totally succesfull) and then I can ping back from the router the Call Manager.

Is the usual behavior that the Call Manager doesn't reply to ping until he has pinged the source machine before?

The version of the CCM is

7.1.5.11900-6
