Call Manager won't boot

Peter Kim

I have a call manager cluster with one publisher and two subscribers.  Over the weekend, I had to reboot all of them.  One of the subscriber won't boot.  I guess it got rebooted... however, I'm not able to ping.  I'm CLI command line through vSphere.  It seems fine.  how can I bring up network connection back?  Or, should I reboot it again "utils system restart"?

services takes time to get restated, please check if all the services has started by 'utils service list' .

Since the servers are in the vsphere same location, you can try restarting the server again if the services didn't come up or taking extra time than usual. whats the cucm version.

I ran "utils system restart" command and now it is up.  I'm able to ssh into it.  On the same subscriber, I ran "utils service list" and I noticed few services didn't get start.  I guess some services won't run for subscriber?

Thanks for your help.

Peter,

In general, give it 20 minutes to reboot and bring all services up.  From experience, i noticed that the Cisco Tomcat service is notoriously slow to start, that is why your web GUI is onreponsive for a substantial time after a reboot.
