Call routing via SIP trunks to CMS

jeff.mayers.ctr

Level 1

Hey guys,

I installed a CUBE in a DMZ that terminates 2 SIP trunks. One from the outside and one that registers to our internal CUCM 10.5. Voice calls from the outside to inside and vice-versa work just fine. From our CUCM cluster there is another SIP trunk that connects to our CMS conferencing box. I can see calls hit the CMS box from the outside customer except the call lasts one sec as they get one ring, then nothing. Our CMS box shows outgoing audio but there is no incoming audio. Call routing here is a mystery as it appears the SIP handshake takes place but then there is no audio. The customer does not hear the outgoing message to enter in a meeting ID or PIN. The subnets are wide open so there should not be an ACL issue. We have set the codecs to match all the way through except still,. no audio.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks,

can you add a SIP trace of a failing call or add a debug ccsip message output into the post for analysis/

cheers

Sorry for the delay. I had to scrub the info.

Here is the "debug ccsip messages" output when the call is made with one ring and then no audio.

Thank you,

Hey guys,

It appears problem solved. During troubleshooting, I witnessed an ACL blocking an IP that did not show up in the past. Once it was accounted for, traffic traversed as expected. The IP address was the CMS box we were trying to call into.

Cheers,
