I have T1 connection between our Avaya System and Cisco Call Manager system using a Cisco 2801 mgcp gateway . When I make calls from the Avaya system phones to Cisco Call Manager phones everything works fine. The problem comes when I have a call come in through a PRI into to the Avaya system then routed over the T1 connection to the Call Manager system the caller does not get any ringback. The call goes through fine but the caller gets no ringback.
Call Manager Business Edition
System version: 6.1.2.1000-13
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Ron

Can you post 'debug isdn q931' for the bad call?

I can't do a debug on the isdn. The calls are coming over a T1 into the gateway, The PRI is going into the Avaya

I should say it is configured as a T1 CAS

Hi,
Is it a T1 CAS between Avaya and 2801 MGCP gateway or T1 CAS from PSTN?
Thanks,

The T1 CAS is between Avaya and 2801 MGCP gateway

When I did a sh voice call summary I saw that the VPM state of the call was
EM_WAIT_SETUP_ACK it stayed in that state until Voice Mail picked up the call.

Give the following syntax a try.
voice rtp send-recv

Thanks but it did not help.

T1 cas is tougher, but the actual command that may help here is:
voice call send-alert
You may also get different results from this command:
voice-card 0
no local-bypass

We changed the T1 cas connection to a PRI and it works fine. Thanks for your help.
