Hello all,
I'm trying to enable caller ID on my FXO port and the command is not there. I bought a VIC-2FXO and a NM-2V module. Is it my IOS that's the issue? i'm running 12.4 (T) on my router now.
Please help!

Have you configured cptone ?
Does clid works on a regular phone ?
Note anyway sometime clid on analog simply doesn't work and there is nothing you can do about .

i have cptone set for US.
Internal caller ID works because I can see my wife's phone ext and name.

I mean if you connect a regular phone to the phone line, do you see caller ID ?

No because the line I have is strickly for my DSL connection, it's not a regular POTS line.. I mean it is, but it's only for Internet if that makes sense? I think I need to call AT&T and have them test my line to see if I can make got going calls. I got this message saying "The telephone you are calling is not in service at this time" So I'm trying to get out to the PSTN but no luck.

How you can expect clid to work if you have no phone service ?
Or explain what you're trying to do.
