Hi,
I have a problem with qsig trunk between Cisco Callmanager express 7.1 and Siemens Hipath 3000.
If the cisco user is calling to siemens, the siemens phone does not display the name, only the number.
From Siemens to Cisco, everything is working fine.
So my question is:
1)what is the default qsig type for CME 7.1 is it ISO or ECMA?
2)how can I change the type from ISO to ECMA and ECMA to ISO
There are several discussions regarding CUCM, but not the Callmanager express.
Regards,
David

Please take "debug isdn q931" with "term mon".

Hi,
here is the output of the debug, btw I'm using Callmanager Express, so it's not H.323 GW or MGCP.

CME is sending calling number both in QSIG format and regular IE:
Facility i = 0x9FAA068001018201018B0100A111020201A602010080083137332054657374
Facility i = 0x9FAA06800100820100A11002010502010080083137332054657374
Progress Ind i = 0x8183 - Origination address is non-ISDN
Display i = '173 Test'
Calling Party Number i = 0x0080, '173'
Consequently, the problem is on the PBX, you cannot do anything about, you have to ask the PBX technician.

Hi,
siemens phone is displaying only the number not also the name "173 Test". The Siemens guy is able to configure his PBX Q.SIG ECMA or ISO, do you know which one is better or more usefull for cisco callmanager express? Or am I able somehow to finetune my config?
e.g.
prov-prh1(config)#interface serial 0/0/0:15
prov-prh1(config-if)#isdn supp-service name calling ie 40 profile ROSE operation-value-tag ?
ecma use ECMA OID global value 0x06 04 2B 0C 09 00
iso use ISO OID global value 0x06 05 28 EC 2C 00 00
local use local value 0x02 01 00
So I'm not sure about the following commands:
prov-prh1(config-if)#isdn supp-service name calling ?
ie name ie value
operation-value-tag Specify the operation value tag
profile Specify the protocol profile
prov-prh1(config-if)#isdn outgoing ie ?

Sorry, I should have said that you are sending the calling name also, see the string in hex:
Facility i = 0x9FAA068001018201018B0100A111020201A602010080083137332054657374
Regarding the settings you mentioned, these are quite obscure, I never had the need to change them. Hope you can find the right combination, good luck!
