Can't dial specific landline number

Hey guys,

I am not that familiar with Call Manager and I need some help here.

Basically what we have is a Callmanger 6 with a 2811 voice gateway. All is working fine, except when we try to dial a specific number. The number is:

07 3221 1666

Obviously if I try to call from a mobile it works.

When we try to dial that number we get the message : the call could not be connected (I am 99% sure that this message is coming from the CM).

All others calls are working fine to the others destinations.

This is most likely where we should look to the dial rules (I am not sure thou), and this is what I have:

any suggestion?

thanks in advance

I would start with the gateway, telnet/ssh to it, and do:

conf t

logging monitor

exit

term mon

debug isdn q931

make your call and see if the gateway attempts the call. If it does attempt, check the digits sent to telco, see if telco returns any error message

Along with the suggestion to make sure you're reaching the GW have you tried DNA to check you're reaching the right RP?

You need to look at your whole dial plan to make sure there isn't something you're matching that is blocking the call in CUCM.

Apr 21 09:58:42: ISDN Se0/0/0:15 Q931: TX -> DISCONNECT pd = 8  callref = 0x0161

                Cause i = 0x8090 - Normal call clearing

Apr 21 09:58:42: ISDN Se0/0/0:15 Q931: TX -> RELEASE_COMP pd = 8  callref = 0x0161

As far as I understand, the Telco could be responsible for not pushing the call so I am gonna call them as first step.

Do you have any other suggestions?

thanks

I suspect the problem is with this:

Called Party Number i = 0x80, '32211666'

                                Plan:Unknown, Type:Unknown

When making calls to other 07 numbers, do you also strip off 0 and 7? Make another 07 call and compare.

thanks mate

I did this test already calling another 07 number and I see the exact same number dialed (with 07 stripped) but it works and I am able to talk with the remote party.

thanks guys

I'm not familiar with your local telco rules, but did you try not stripping off 7 or 07 when making those calls? Even though other calls work, I would give it a try.

hey mate,

I did try that. If you are calling within the same state (i.e. Queensland to Queensland) you do not need to use the prefix (07) code. Anyway yes, I tried with 07 and without, but it doesn't work.

Let see what the Telco says

thanks anyway

Yes, that looks like a question for telco
