I have a few phones, all models 7962, that are not able to answer an incoming call or make an outgoing call by simply picking up the receiver. If the users press the line softkey they CAN answer an incoming call or make an outgoing call. Any ideas on where to start??

BTW, I have checked the spring in the receiver and the receiver is completely depressing the switch when put back in the cradle.

I'd still think the problem is the hookswitch, change the phone and see if that clears the issue.

We have actually changed the phone twice already. Sorry, for not mentioning that.

Hi Derrick.
Which version of CUCM/CUCME are you running?
In case of CUCM, did apply a common phone profile?
Let me know.

Carlo

Is Auto Line Select enabled on the phone? If not what happens if you enable it?

Interesting! How about a TAC case if none of the suggestions help.
