We use CUCMA v 7. I have device and user set up and then configured the voicemail. I want to change the VM Password. When I go into Unity Connect Admin, find the 'User', click on that user and click edit, there are no options dropping down, e.g. change password. This used to work just fine. This is not limited to one VM account; I can't do anything with any of them. I've attached a screenshot here.
This message is displayed below the number and I don't recall it being there.
"This user is integrated with a Cisco Unified Communications Manager end user. Some fields may be disabled."
I have deleted the voicemail box and reimported and still no luck. Any ideas?

That is because the user is imported from LDAP or Communications Manager, and hence you change it there.

I guess I'm confused because we've always set up users and devices in the Unified Call Manager Admin side, then logged into the Unity Voice Mail Connect Admin console and added to voice mail and maintained them there. When someone had an issue and couldn't access voicemail because they had forgotten PIN/PW, I just went into the user on the UVMCA and pulled them up and had an option under edit to change password. Now, poof...gone.
We haven't changed anything. So, how should I reset passwords for the voice mail system?
Thanks in advance!

Which password are you attempting to change? PIN (voicemail) or web?

Voicemail PIN; the one they enter after pressing the "messages" button on the phone.
Thx

Can you post the screen shot of the "Change Password" menu as the one you posted is only the "User Basics"?

If the users is a CUC local user, sure, you can do that.
If the user is created via AXL, or LDAP, you lose that capability, that's why you see the notification. That's an AXL user, and you cannot change the password in CUC, that's expected, and that's how it works.
You need to go to CUCM, and if it's a local user, change the pwd there, if it's an LDAP user, change the pwd in LDAP.
