Hey guys,
I just wanted to ask if this is possible:
We have a Cisco Communication Manager 8.0 installed and running with multiple users. We also have AD integration, so that everyone has his personal adressbook.
Now there is a folder in our AD tree with around 8000 contacts. Is it possible to put those contacts in a new directory and integrate it into the phones (additional to personal etc)?

Directories are phone services and you can create as many as you need.
Just develop your directory script and host it in another server, then create the service in CUCM and point to it.
Subscribe the phones and the should be able to use it.

Hi,
There is a third party solution to this and similar problems. 2Ring Ipps can solve your problems by displaying contacts stored in AD, Exchange, Lotus or any SQL or LDAP data store on your desk phones in the same way integrated directories are displayed. It is also able to identify incoming calls from these contacts and show you caller identification on the phones or associated PC. Check out www.2ring.com/ipps for more info.
You can see a demo or obtain a trial if you would like to.
Please contact me or info@2ring.com for more information.
