Can someone please provide more information about the E911 service offering to support 911 services for a campus design?
This question is related to the campus, where we have one MPLS/SIP circuit but have two buildings to support for 911 services.
We use following call flow,
1112225555 -> Dials 9911 -> It matches 9.911 GLOBAL-E911 Translation Pattern -> that translates Called Party to 8811 -> that hits Rout point 8811 to CER -> Based on Subnet mask of phone CER selects “ABC” ERL Name -> that ERL points to 111.911 route pattern which points to respective RL, RG and then call goes out from site gateway.
CER System Version: 7.0.3.10000-7
CUCM System version: 8.6.2.21900-5
We have ported one site directory number to SIP.
Now we have same MPLS/SIP circuit, however we have 2 different building on quite a distance, say "Building A" and "Building B".
Whenever we make 911 calls it always provides address of "Building A".
I know basic of CER like normal configuration, I am not aware about detailed designing stuff.
Thanks in advance.

All CER does it manipulate caller ID with the ELIN information, are you seeing the expected ERL/ELIN selected in the CER call history? Is the route pattern configured accordingly? Do you see expected caller ID in "debug ccsip messages"? If so that may indicte the SIP provider is overwriting it.

Hi Chris,
Thanks for prompt reply
can you please let me know how to check CER call history.
Regarding Caller ID, we have only one MPLS/SIP circuit for that campus, which registered with "Building A" address.

Login to CER admin page and look under Reports --> Call History
If you need to provide different address for different users you need to break the buildings into separate ERLs with different ELINs and then assigned switchports or VLANs accordingly. Then register the ELINs with provider or ALI dB provider with appropriate address.
HTH, please rate all useful posts!

Hi Chris,
I can see correct ERL selected in Call History.
The problem here is we have one MPLS/SIP circuit but have two buildings to support for 911 services.
