We have a redundant PSAP connection through SIP trunks. Our problem arises when a call comes into one of the trunks for a phone that's not registered. If the phone belongs to a person, that person will have a voicemail account and CFUR will direct the call to that account. All will be well. But if the phone doesn't have an account, the call causes a 404 error to be sent to the PSAP which then tries to send the call to our secondary PSAP connection. This goes back and forth, so we have a loop. What I'd like to do is set CFUR to send the call to a voicemail box saying that people have reached a non-working number. I'm forwarding the call to 1069999999. However, when I do so the call takes on the calling number of the device that's redirecting the call. Since the calling phone doesn't have a voicemail box the call doesn't go to the 1069999999 voicemail box to play our special greeting. Instead, the caller hears the generic Cisco greeting, "Hello. Cisco Unity Connection messaging system. From a touch-tone phone..."
I've tried setting up 1069999999 as a route pattern pointing to Unity Connection which has a calling party mask of 1069999999. I've also set up 1069999999 as a CTI route point that forwards all calls to voicemail with a calling party mask of 1069999999, and that didn't help either.
Any ideas?
