Change Cisco 79XX idle logo procedure CUCM6.1

In order to replace the monitors "idle" logo on Cisco phone 7911, we have followed the procedure described in the link below:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/voicesw/ps556/products_tech_note09186a00801c0764.shtml

However, since this doc is intended to be used by CUM4X administrator and not CUCM6-8 we are wondering if there is anything more relative to the version that we use.

More specifically, following the procedure of converting the gif file to xml, we dont know how to store the xml file (most problably uploading to the CUCM?) and in which folder. Is there something similar to "C:\CiscoWebs\IPPhoneServices\CCMCIP" on 6?

Any help on the configuration part of the CUCM would be really appreciated.

Thanks in advance

NO, there is no access to tomcat folders where this should reside in Linux Appliances.

You need a separate web server for this, there is absolutely no way to load this to CUCM.

Not sure then those instructions changed but in the past there was a 5.X and later section explaining just this.

No, this is not loaded to CUCM.

99% of the config is the same, but what's different, is that you need a separate web server to host the files. So the idle url needs to be changed accordingly to your web server configuration.

Thanks for the reply,

I thought that the xml file should have been saved to the CUCM server, since all the other parameters on the " Phone URL Parameters" are in the form of'

http://CUCMPub.companyname.net:8080/ccmcip/GetTelecasterHelp, so I thought that the xml should be saved under the ccmcip folder.

Could that be the case?
