Greetings,
Does anyone know if CIPC 8.6.5 work with Microsoft Surface? Not sure which OS, but it's probably either Windows 8.1 RT or Windows 10. I'll have to find out from the customer.
Thanks,
Kamil

Hi Kamil,
It is not supported. Please check the client PC requirements for CIPC 8.6.5

But the section under 8.6.5 notes that it supports Windows 10:

I was wondering if Cisco knows if it will run on Microsoft Surface.

Due to changes to Microsoft Internet Explorer on Microsoft Windows 10, if users set Microsoft Internet Explorer as their default browser on Microsoft Windows 10, user must uncheck Enable Protected Mode in Internet Explorer Security settings. If users do not disable Protected Mode, they will not be able to start the Cisco Unified CM Self-Care portal from the Cisco IP Communicator Preferences menu. |
Cisco IP Communicator now supports Cisco Unified Communications Manager Release 10.5.2.
Cisco IP Communicator Release 8.6.5 contains numerous fixes to functionality. See Resolved Caveats.

It *might* work, as long as it meets the requirements and runs with a x86 processor, make sure they use Admin privileges to install and run.
Not too sure about it officially being supported, when IPC was created, I don't think they ever considered this scenario.
