Hello,
I have noticed that cisco 3905 phones periodically send strange alarm to Unified CM. Could somebody please help me with the issue?

Thank you.

Hello softserveinc,

Besides those alarms, do the 3905 phones have any other unwanted behavior? For example constantly unregistering or dropping calls ?

Are ALL the 3905 phones sending the same alarm or just a few of them?

Best Regards, Jaime.

Hello,

All of our 3905 send this message. Sometimes they stop working(just hang) and our clients can not use them or register and unregister but after reset work fine.

Hello,

How frequent are this alerts, daily? weekly? hourly?

Best Regards, Jaime.

Hello,
Today I got 273 those messages from different phones. Everyday I get from 100 to 300 messages like that.

Hello softserveinc,

I would like to know the current firmware in your 3905 phones.

Please update the firmware to the latest one available if possible.

https://software.cisco.com/download/release.html?mdfid=283734772&catid=280789323&softwareid=282074288&release=9.4(1)SR2&relind=AVAILABLE&rellifecycle=&reltype=latest

After updating, check if the alarms still appear.

Best Regards, Jaime.

Jaime,

We have already installed the newest version but it did not help.

Can you check if any SIP messages received by the phone before generating this Alert? It seems that the phone is receiving SIP message which it can't understand and generating Alarm accordingly.

Just generate ladder diagram from RTMT for SIP messages and compare the time frame of the message with this alert
