Cisco 7925G on CM 6.1.1.200-3

We recently purchased a Cisco 7925G to replace a broken 7920 wireless phone. When I went to configure it my CM 6.1.1 only shows up to 7921. I understand we need to upgrade the device package on the CM but I am unable to download the update. I'm sure it’s due to we no longer have an active smart net. So I’m I just screwed and need to return the 7925G and hunt down a 7921?

Unfortunately you have only 2 options here as you've already noted:

1. Get 7921 as that would be supported on your CUCM

2. Get smartnet for CUCM and apply proper device pack or upgrade CUCM to version that natively supports 7925.
