Hi Community,
We are facing to a problem linked to the brand new Cisco IP Phone 8961. In fact, we upgraded the firmware of those phones to sip8961.9-0-3 (the latest one available on Cisco.com). We figured out that IPMA (IP Manager Assistant) is not configurable on those particular phones. Could you provide me some information about this point?
Other point, I couln´t control the Phone from the CUPC (even if the documentation says that it´s possible). Where could it be linked? We use User Device Profiles - they are well linked to the end user. If I change the phone and take a 7942 model which is registered in SCCP; it works perfectly well.
I´ve to admit that we are facing to some issues that are really angry for our customer and us of course.
CUCM version is 7.1.5a.
Regards...

I can't unfortunally answer your question about IPMA.
However, for CUPC issue, the endusera must be a member of the following groups;
Standard CTI Allow Control of Phones supporting Connected Xfer and conf (89xx/99xx-phones)
Standard CTI Allow Control of Phones supporting Rollover Mode (69xx-phones)

Hello,
i have the same problem, i can't control 8961 phone (SIP) with jabber.
I can control IP Communicator and Cisco 6945, so i think the configuration is fine.
I also tried adding
Standard CTI Allow Control of Phones supporting Connected Xfer and conf (89xx/99xx-phones)
Standard CTI Allow Control of Phones supporting Rollover Mode (69xx-phones)
but it still not work.
Thank for any help
