Cisco 9951 with KEM - error "Phone not registered "

Hi All ,

i have few Cisco 9951 and Cisco 9971 ip phones , phones  are woking fine but when i connecting key expension Module  , ip phones starts behaving abnormally , ip phones are keep reebiitng and error i can see on screen is "Phone not registered " , ip phone ic connected with both power resources POE switch and External Power adopter.

My question is should i need to use only one power resource ?

or please advise me ? how i can fix this issue .

Hi Aslam,

If IP phone is getting power from Power adaptor , it can power KEM.

If IP phone is getting POE power, then , external power adaptor needs to be connected to KEM.

What is CUCM and 9971/9951 version ?

IF KEM is not connected ,are IP phones regsitered?
