Cisco 9971 SIP - Cisco CME - No DTMF to PSTN

Hi everyone,

We are running CME 8.6 and we are using Cisco 9971 phones and 6921 phones.

The 6921 phones DTMF works fine internally (CUE)/externally (Calling TAC and pressing numbers)

The 9971 phones DTMF works fine intetrnally when calling CUE, but when I make a PSTN calls the 9971's DTFM is not heard by the called party.

Our PSTN provider is configured via a SIP trunk.

Here is the configuration - the phone is set to RTP-NTE and so is the Dial-Peer for the SIP trunk.

Any ideas what could prevent DTMF from making it across?

Cisco 9971 SIP - Cisco CME - No DTMF to PSTN

Hi,

Can you please share "debug ccsip message" when you call from 9971 to outside PSTN.

Thanks

Manish

Re: Cisco 9971 SIP - Cisco CME - No DTMF to PSTN

Your provider is sending correct dtmf and there is no mismatch. Can you test few changes
1. Disable video mode from phone then test a call and check dtmf status.
2.check by applying other dtmf method like sip notify.
3.if that does not work then it most look like issue with the phone firmware. Which sip firmware are you using?
