Hi,
I just purchased the Cisco C2901-CME-SRST/K9 Voice Bundle Router for my small office as suggested by my network design firm (third party) and I also ordered the 7962G as a reception phone along with the expansion module CP-7915.
Now they (network designers) are saying that I'll also need additional licenses for adding this and other phones, whereas the documentation and my li'l research on forums suggest that I shouldn't need them at all.
Also, I was looking at the SPA504G phones for the staff as they seem like a perfect fit; features and aesthetic wise.. but the documentation online suggests I can't add them to my setup, not even as a SIP device, yet the network designers are saying that they can be added.
So completely confused on both counts. It really is kind of urgent and any and all help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Hi,
CME licenses are right to use licenses. Please go through the complete document to understand the CME licensing on ISRG2 routers:

SPA phones are not natively supported on CME but you may use them with CME with limited functionality. Refer to the document below:

Hi, thanks a lot for the response. I went through the documents but I'm still not clear whether I'll need separate licenses to add the phones.
