Now i have 4000 + and i have to find numbers that are not using.

Assume Not Using You mean to say Phone/DN is registered but no call are made/received on particular Extension.

Assuming you have the CDR enabled

You might Need to extract the CDR Logs for duration ( Note CUCM CDR Available for last 60 or 90 days by default ). CDR will be in raw format.

And Analyze the CDR to find our extension in Use. Rest you can assume are not in use for the duration of CDR being available.

Thanks for your answer.

How can i get CDR enable please ?

Enabling CDR Now won't Help.

Just check Two Parameter in CUCM Enterprise/Service Parameter

Call Detailed Records Enabled

Log CDR with Zero Flag

Again thanks for answering.

But i cant get it. Where i can see/enable these functions ?

Sorry if im borring you

Just go to CUCM>System>Service Parameter

Choose the CUCM Node . ( You have to enable it on all the nodes)

and Service Call Manager

and search for below

False

OK now. CDR Log Calls with Zero Duration Flag was false now its enabled.

Does it mean that i can collect only from moment i activated not before ?

The Point is CUCM will start collecting CDR from the point when this Parameter was enabled, So enabling it now will allow use to Collect CDRs in Future.

If CDR Enabled  Flag was set to true on all the Nodes the you are good to go.

With CDR Log Calls with Zero duration refer below details.

This parameter determines whether call detail records (CDRs) are generated. Valid values specify True (CDRs are generated) or False (CDRs are not generated).
  This is a required field.
  Default:  False
This parameter enables or disables the logging of call detail records (CDRs) for calls that never connected or that lasted less than 1 second. Cisco CallManager logs unsuccessful calls (calls that result in reorder, such as might occur due to a forwarding directive failure or calls that attempt to go through a busy trunk) regardless of this flag setting.
  This is a required field.

Got it. But please tell me how can i get now an log information from CUCM GUI ?

Some additional options should be enable now ?

Thank you.

Browse to https://cucm_ip/car/.

Thanks that is really helpfull.  But im inside and i have ine more question:

how can i get table/info about not using phone numbers ? i can not find it

Thanks

You will get the list of Number which are In Use.

There is not table which says Numbers are Not In Use. You have to just exclude the "Numbers In Use" form the Complete list to get the same.

Just go to CDR> Export CDR CMR

Select the date range, Click on Export to file, wait for process to comelete.

Make sure you don't delete the files form system after export , Uncheck the box Delete file

Righe Click and save file.

This is raw CDR Formate, Open it in Excel and you can find the list of extension.

Hi,

"CDR Log Calls with Zero Duration Flag" is not mandatory it only need to be turned on if you want calls with Zero duration to be logged in CDR.

  • When a user goes off-hook and then on-hook without completing a call.
  • When a user completes a blind transfer (the consultation call does not connect).
  • MWI On/Off calls.
