Hi!!
I have configured a Cisco Catalyst 2960S switch for both Desktop and Voice VLANs using the Cisco Network Assistant.
The configuration is as follows:
Access VLAN: 192
Voice VLAN: 100
The configuration is working out fine but there are issues when there is a replication operation between servers A and B on the Access VLAN 192.
Servers A and B are attached to switch ports configured to be on VLAN 192 only (GigabitEthernet 1/0/23 and GigabitEthernet 1/0/24)
The replication between the two servers takes a lot of time to complete and sometimes terminates.
I have tested the replication between the same two servers on a normal switch with blank configuration and it completes successfully.
Though switch ports GigabitEthernet 1/0/20 - GigabitEthernet 1/0/24 are configured for VLAN 192 only, an IP Phone connected to these ports works the same as when connected to the remaining switch ports configured for both Access + Voice VLANs.
Please note that the IP Phones are not Cisco phones.
Please see the attached switch configuration.
Regards,
Alvin

Hi,
Can you add this to the config
!
int range g1/0/23 - 24
switchport host
!
Can you also confirm what the server NIC cards are set up for re
speed & duplex
Regards
Alex

Hi,
There was a duplex mismatch with the server NIC.
This has been changed and the replication is now working our fine.

Alvin
