Dear Community,
for a couple of days now I am having an issue with my Cisco CP-8851 phone. The phone display and line1 is "self activating" just as if I would lift the handset and wanting to place a call. This is happening irregularly. Sometimes in a couple of seconds, then there is no problem for hours, etc. It stops only when I put the handset aside.
Did anyone experience this problem before?
Thank you all.

I am starting to think, that the problem is in a faulty hookswitch.

Thank you very much for your reply. I should have mentioned, that I am connecting the phone to an Asterisk based PBX. Nevertheless, in the provisioning XML, I have had a bunch of URL's for Directory or External services (based on a template I found on the internet). I have removed those now. Nevertheless, the problems have started much much later. Not immediately after the first provisioning. I had no issues for months.
And I will also add now, that the issue persists.
