Cisco E20 X Elastix

Hi There,

We are setting some appliances E20 Cisco (Tandberg videophone). It happens that when connections are made between two devices E20, after a random time of use both devices disconnect from the server, causing the connection to be dropped, and after a few minutes they register back to the server.

Even when not being used, this problem of losing the record on the server occurs.

We have VoIP phones from other manufacturers in our network, including some videophones from Polycom VVX 1500 and none of them has problem.

We use the PBX Elastix 2.0 and E20 devices were updated to the latest firmware before starting to configure them. I believe it is some setting that we are not doing right. Someone uses these devices and can give us some help?

Hi Jrcampos7,

It is very difficult because Elastix is not standard plataform to Cisco E20.  My suggestion is check the SIP version for both.

Do you have a MCU in your environment? or is only to point - point video?

Tudo correto com a versão do SIP. Não temos MCU em nosso ambiente.

Creio que consegui deixar as chamadas mais estáveis alterando a configuração de "Default Transport" de Auto  para UDP edesabilitando a BFCP. Não entendi porque o Default Transport não consegue definir o protocolo correto quando configurado em Auto, e também o porque do BFCP quando habilitado  parece interferir na estabilidade das ligações, já que pelo que li no manul ele só é utilizado durante conferências. Mas enfim, agora está funcionando a contento, embora não esteja 100% como eu gostaria, o problema ainda aparece só que muito raramente, mas continuarei testando e vou postar aqui no fórum, para o caso de outros usuários que tenham adquirido este aparelho e que possam ter dificuldades semelhantes ao instalar o aparelho em uma plataforma que não é a padrão.
