Cisco Headset 562 with IP Phone 7965

Hi there,

Can anyone confirm if the Cisco Headset 562 with Standard Base is compatible with Cisco IP Phone 7965? I've tried plugging it in with the Y cable to the phone, but cannot get it to work. The headset works when I plug it in via USB to a computer, but the phone does not have a USB port.

In CUCM, Wireless Headset Hookswitch Control is enabled on the phone.

I cannot find any info on compatibility (e.g. Compatibility Guide | Plantronics) but just wanted to check here if I missed something... or did we order the wrong headset

Info is here.  "Interoperability is verified with those models with an RJ-9 headset port and RJ-11 auxiliary port for basic call control but is not officially supported by Cisco."
