Hello, I have recently purchased a cisco 7821 ip phone and when I type the phones ip adress in my browser nothing comes up. Am I not supposed to plug this phone directly into my wifi router?

You have several options:
* Convert the phone from Enterprise Image to 3PCC/MPP (License SKU: L-CP-E2M-78XX-CNV);
* Configure and integrate the phone to non-Cisco call manager using a known working SEPmacaddress.cnf.xml file.

The SEPmacaddress.cnf.xml I have linked is just a template. Anyone planning to use the template will need to fill in the appropriate details such as:
1. IP address of the server
2. Username
3. Password
4. NTP server
5. And more
And then upload the file, using DHCP Option 150, to the phone. A dialplan will also need to be uploaded so the phone will know what the dialling patterns for each individual phone.

It seems easier but I am not quite sure how to do this.
My role is to map out your options. And this I have done.
Unsure which directions to choose? Use Google because this is not the first time (nor the last) anyone has done it. Still unsure, find someone who does.
Cannot find anyone? Then convert the phone to 3PCC/MPP.
