Cisco IP Phones Factory Reset without Firmware update.

Can you factory reset a Cisco IP Phone (ex: 7960) without having it go through the firmware download process?

After the phone completely booted, press settings key, then * * #

Wait a few seconds, for each menu (e.g user preferences, network configuration, device configuration..) , press the More key, then erase.

Almost all settings will be gone.

Great...it worked. Will this process work on other Cisco IP phones such as 7941, 7942, etc?

They're pretty much the same.

Yup, its pretty similar for all model cisco phones.
