Cisco Phone Cords

Guys

are there any issues with phone cords going bad? out of the blue i have two customers that have ordered about 10 cords each stating that there are some faulty ones. The user environment is not aggresive either to even attempt to say that the users pulled the cords. the request came from two different customers both with 7911s.

advised them id try to find out if there was some fault hence the reason im posting.

Yep, itt happens... on all phones, Cisco or not eventually. People have a tendency to twist them, juggling the handset ends up with them tied in knots and eventually they will break up leading to crackly sounds or loss of sound.

The other issue is that sometimes people don't clamp the cables into the base, so there is extra strain on the RJ connector.
