I am a customer, end user, systems administrator of a Cisco UCM system fully redundant with everything but a fax solution. We purchased a MultiTech Fax Finder IP and it has basic SIP integration notes.
The faxfinder is connected on the network, integrated with Active Directory and able to add users. it is configured per the Multitech SIP integration notes in CUCM. Except last sections about gateway. See Attached.(attempting to attach small pdf).
The piece after SIP referring to the gateways is beyond my scope of knowledge (I do not understand it). We have gateways connected to PRI at two sites. We have DID that is functional inbound to devices 7800 series and more. Voice is working inbound and outbound.
We also have a Avaya BCM connected via PRI at one site being used as a FAX Server as the dial peers are sending inbound to that interface. It is working. Specific DID fax go into Avaya BCM mailboxes. We want to replace the Avaya BCM with the MultiTech Faxfinder IP. see Attached (attempting to attach small pdf).
Our vendor does not really want to use this third party fax solution by Multitech. They sell Right Fax and would make it work.
Does anyone have a successful configuration using FAXFINDER IP with PRI using as PSTN?
I hope this is posted in the correct area and apologize if it is not. I am new to this forum.
If anyone has some configuration notes that would be helpful.
Mostly want to know if it will work.
