Cisco 8821 on CME11.0?

Who has already implemented the Cisco 8821 with CME 11.0 or 10.5?

Fast Track Mode for CME10.5. What about CME11.0?

We have BE6000 10.5 and we are looking for Cisco 8821 phones to deploy...

...but it is now 2 months we are desperately looking for such a phone !

How did you get yours ?

Not sure if you're trying to get a hold of the actual device, or that you cannot configure it on CUCM.

We have ordered but not received them yet.

But as the 7925G is EOS I have to figure out if the 8821 can be deployed on CME.

Hi Norbert,

Yes, you can deploy 8821 with CME 11.X.

For ISR G2 (29XX/39XX) or ISRG3 ( 43XX/44XX) router - This phone model is not officially supported yet but can be registered using Fast Track method and will support only basic features.


Sample configuration to register using Fast Track method:

voice register pool-type  8821
phoneload-support
reference-pooltype 9971

voice register dn  10
number 8000

voice register pool  10
id mac 1111.2222.3333 [ Mac address of the phone ]
type 8821

number 1 dn 10
username cisco password cisco

voice register global
  create profile
