cisco unity connection backup fails

hello guys,

i am running cisco unity connection 7.1.5 with regular scheduled back ups to an sftp server. the problem is sometimes the backups just fail.what happens is that a back up is done for some files but others are not done. I checked the storage space on the backup folder which  seems enough.

the SFTP server is up and running.the network connectivity is good.

Any issues why this is happening? any related bugs?

FreeFTPD is no longer supported by Cisco do to such issues, check out this bug:

FreeFTPD should be removed from the DRS Admin Guide for UC 2.x.

Symptom: Backups fail due to CSCsm21349.Conditions:The DRS Administration Guide on CCO has been updated to remove FreeFTP as a supported FTP server as of August 2008.Pre-August 2008: Using FreeFTPD because of it being recommended in the following document under system requirements: Disaster Recovery System Administration Guide for Cisco Unity Connection Release 2.xWorkaround:Use one of the other recommended SFTP servers
