CM 4.2(3) to 7.1(5) License Transfer

Can someone please guide me on how to transfer phone license (DLUs) from exisitng 4.2 to new 7.1?

We purchased node and sw license for new call manager. We have approx 300 phones (all licenses). 250 of them are registered. 50 are not.

Is there a way on CM 4.2 to get a list of what licenses are installed? I am really confused with this license thing.

I don't want to go to cisco TAC and sound stupid.

Please any pointers/help is really appreciated.

Regards

OJ

Well, you NEED to reach our licensing team at TAC one way or the other.

Write them down an email (licensing@cisco.com) explaining you need to migrate some licenses and provide them the MAC from new server.

You'll get a spreadsheet they'll use to generate the necessary .lic files.

They'll let you know any other info they might need.

The other way is if you're still to do the migration DMA will do this process and you'll just need to change the temp license into a permanent license.
