Hi, I am trying to get inbound and outbound calling working. I am trying to get inbound first, and setup my config....however, it rings busy. My provider is VOIP.MS, and it shows registered on their main page and all incoming connections work fine. Even to my VM and AA system. I did a ccsip debug error and attached this with the config as well.
I need help to get our phone system up and communicating.
Thanks!
Ping to chicago.voip.ms works fine too:
USRMIHQ#ping chicago.voip.ms
Type escape sequence to abort.
Sending 5, 100-byte ICMP Echos to 173.208.83.50, timeout is 2 seconds:
!!!!!
Success rate is 100 percent (5/5), round-trip min/avg/max = 20/30/60 ms

I tried entering config but it gets me a fast busy.
changing it to session transport UDP however works but with a "unknown" called ID, and one way audio to my cell phone, but not back to my 7940.

Your debugs don't include the full call trace however I can see the following from what is provided.
It looks like a call arrives from the SIP provider (chicago.voip.ms) with:
Calling number = 5173914946
Called Number = 7347947685
You have a dial peer that translates the called number from 7347947685 to 1000, which should route to address 10.0.0.5. I don't see any outgoing INVITE messages to this address.
I notice that you are binding all SIP media and signalling to interface GI0/0 however the SIP server 10.0.0.5 would be routed through interface GI0/1.1. I would remove the binding command and try the traces again. This time increase the scroll back or use logging on your terminal application to catch the full call trace.
03-23-2013 08:12 PM
I tried removing bindings and now my internal phones will not reach AA and Exchange VM. The internal phones work just fine....obviously with the bindings in place.
Out, coming in, still rang busy with bindings removed as well.
03-23-2013 09:12 PM
I'm guessing the exchange server is expecting the source ip of the sip messages to be coming from the ip of your gi0/0 interface, which might be why the internal phones can't reach the exchange vm when the binding command is removed.
For the external aa issue can you capture a full debug of the call. The last one didn't show any messages being sent to the exchange server at all.
For the external one way voice issue, can you establish a call and enter the command "show voip rtp connections"?

What I can see from these debugs is that when the router responds to the SIP provider to accept the call, it is telling the sip provider to route the media to the IP address of 10.0.16.1. I am assuming that the sip provider can't route to this address. See the below 200ok message where this address is sent.

My guess is that this behaviour is related to your bind commands, is the previous config accurate with regards to what bind commands are in place when this call was placed?

I had another quick look at your config and this issue is definitely related to your bind command. You are binding both you signalling and media to source interface gi0/1.16. You will need to remove the bind commands and work out why your ip phones stop working after these commands are removed.
Can you remove these commands and try your external call again and post the debugs?
Once this is confirmed as working we can look at the call flow for your internal ip phones trying to get to the exchange um. Post a separate debug for this call flow and we can investigate why it doesn't work without the bind commands.

Removed. Here is the debug:
just dead air, and then busy signal.... calling in,

This traces doesn't actually show any call information. It is as if the call never reached the router. The trace shows an OPTIONS ping sent to the provider and that is all.
Can you check that your SIP trunk is still registered to the provider? You can use "show sip-ua register status" to find this out.

Thanks Daniel so much for your help. I will try, but can I ask that I would be glad to pay you to look at this router, as the waiting between messages and any resolution is down right crazy.
I have teamviewer and serial from that system to router. Also, I tried seeking out help on odesk and elance, but you seem to have more knoledge about sip-sip, as many are familiar with PRI or T1.
Let me know, or private message me. I know folks are busy, but we really could appreciate the help for our non-profit.
I can give access to our voip.ms account, and our router, and exchange
04-02-2013 07:44 AM
After lots and lots of trial and error the adjustments I had made:
realm was changed to chicago.voip.ms instead of voip.ms
removed session transport tcp from sip
removed call start slow under h323
removed ONE bind statement, I assume that since I have Exchange AA on our native VLAN, it was able to pass media through any gateway.
the bind statement I removed was: bind media source-interface GigabitEthernet0/1.16
voice translation-rule 2 was corrected:
rule 1 /.*/ //
authentication username 141349 password 7 12350C03060xxxx was corrected:
authentication username 141349 password 7 12350C03060xxxx realm chicago.voip.ms
host registrar was added to end of sip-ua
Also on ephone 1 I included no-reg statement.
I also adjusted times to 200 instead of 3600, as I noticed drops of registration.
Also seems to work now. I get incoming and outgoing.
