We have a center that is using a CME router, and having an issue with this one extension which is 4783. The configuration in this extension is disappearing randomly. Hope you could help me figure out this issue.

@ Sir Paolo: Is it advisable to upgrade the IOS to XC7? Will it affect the license and or the CME version? Thank you.

Hi,
when upgrade the IOS it will change the version of CME. kindly find the below link for compatability matrix
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucme/requirements/guide/33matrix.htm
make sure that the new IOS meet your current memory and flash.
regarding the new CME version, make sure it is compatabile with Cisco unity express version if you have one
