CME Enhanced licenses extraction

Hi Experts,

Lets see who will be ripping $20,200.00 out of my hands.

We have replaced x2 CME 4.3 with x2 BE6000s CUCM 11.x

However loaded on the CME's are 50 Enhanced Licenses on each so 100 total.

PLEASE tell me it is possible to extract these licenses and load them onto the CUCM, they do the same thing if I am correct?

Hopeful Regards,

Chris

Hi Chris,

CME licenses are different from CUCM licenses. For BE6000s , you need to install the licenses in the PLM application but these licenses are entirely different from the CME ones.

For BE6000S license installation refer the below discussion:

https://supportforums.cisco.com/t5/ip-telephony/cisco-be6000s-license-installation-questions/td-p/3010112

For converting these licenses, I am not very sure whether Cisco allows that. But you could contact cisco licensing team to check and get the licenses in case if this is possible.

Hi Rajan,

You were correct! Now I am 100 Enhanced licenses poorer.

But thank you for taking the time to answer my question!

Best regards,

Chris
