CME licensing

Hello good day

I have a question regarding the licensing I need for a purchase by CME 3945e need to register in which 300 ip phone models would

6901

6921

8941

8961

I have understood that licenses for the right to use that I think are of this kind are necessary:

FL-CME-SRST-5

FL-CME-SRST-25

FL-CME-SRST-100

but doing the trading on the QPT me add other licenses:

SW-CCME-UL-ESS =

SW-CCME-UL-ENH =

my question is whether they are required for basic use of voice in the CME?

And if they are mandatory, benefits or features that provide

Hi Angel,

Regrding the last CUCME ordering guide (CUCME 9.1 jan 2013):

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/partner/prod/collateral/voicesw/ps6788/vcallcon/ps4625/cme_ordering_guide.pdf

for CUCME you need the following licenses (are mandatory):

1. UC license (on router);

2. feature license (on router) - for total number of phones (IP or analog), eg FL-CME-SRST-XXX;

3. phone license (for each phone). it depends on type of the phone:

  • SW-CCME-UL-ESS =
  • SW-CCME-UL-ENH =
  • SW-CCME-UL-BASIC=

it is the same phone-license mapping as UCL:

http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/unified-communications/unified-communications-licensing/product_solution_overview0900aecd806cc7a4.html

So for your solution you need:

1 x UC license on 3945E;

3 x FL-CME-SRST-100;

n x SW-CCME-UL-ESS = for 6901

n x SW-CCME-UL-BASIC = for 6921

n x SW-CCME-UL-ENH = for 8941 and 8961

PS: for SRST deployment, there is no need for phone license on router, they are on CUCM server

Hello

I have several times installed CMEs, but I have never activated SW-CCME-UL-BASIC.

On the other hand on CUCM, yes I needed it.

The question is what is SW-CCME-UL-BASIC really useful for, since with only UC license, my system works well.

( I use google translation )

Thank you
