Hello,
i have a MGCP gateway registered to CUCM 10.5 and need to make it work as CME SRST incase when WAN goes down, I have some confusion please reply.
In which mode i can have more control. srst mode auto-provision [none|dn|all]
I am planning to put a command srst mode auto-provision all, so that once failover happens all ephones and ephone-dn will be created and i can use the router as normal CME which is configured for small offices, and i hope i can implement features on ephone-dn,ephone, ( COR,LPCOR speed-dial,call park, etc, etc) PLEASE CONFIRM
For SIP Phones configuration will also be created automatically, such as voice register-dn 1 and voice register pool 1 etc etc
Thanks

Hi
Mode 'all' will provision both phones and DNs. This gives 'most control', but sometimes too much.
For example, if you use Extension Mobility on CUCM, then 'mode dn' is often better, as you can configure hunt groups, DNs, names etc but do not link a specific DN to a specific MAC. In that scenario it's better to not link DNs, to MACs - just provision the DNs in config, and they will automatically assign to phones/MACs at registration time.
If you do 'mode all' you must put more effort in to keeping the config up to date with changes made in CUCM.

Dear Aaron,
Good to see expert reply.
mode " All or DN " is for the SIP also ??
I don't have an EM in my configuration according to suggestion if i go with DN then what about the configuration such as LPCOR and etc ,etc, that we apply on ephone ??
Also please answer about the sip phones they will fallback with voice regsiter dn if mode configured for "DN" and with voice register pool if mode configured with "All " as same what we configure the phone in normal cme.
voice register dn 1
number 111
name abc
label abc
voice register pool 1
id mac BC67.CCCC.CCCC
type 3905
number 1 dn 1
dtmf-relay rtp-nte
codec g711ulaw
no vad

Dear jack
if we have remote branch registered on cucm 10.5 as mgcp fallback , we can make auto attendant on remote gateway (mgcp)
