I am exploring forwarding a number and have been told by our provider that there will still be half a ring that comes through before it forwards. I attempted to set the ring setting on the line in CCM to "disabled", but it still rings. I'm not sure why, but it does. Is there a way to stop this inbound 1/2 ring from hitting the phone? Maybe a setting on FXO port on the router (some sort of delay setting, perhaps) or maybe something else in CCM?
Thanks!

Would adjusting the "Ring Number" on the FXO to lets say 3 solve your problem?
The router would now wait three full rings before bothering to answer.
Hope this helps,

Seems that might do the trick. To verify, the command for this would be:
ring number 3
Also, can anyone clarify what the default setting for this is? Thanks!

You are correct the syntax would be
ring number 3
The default value is 1
Hope this helps,
