not sure which version you have but all you need to do is go into the CUCM service parameters and change the following parameter:
maximum ad hoc conference

Thanks.This is cucm ver6.
The CUCM service parameter specifies " the maximum number of participants that are allowed in a single Ad Hoc conference"
But i need to limit number of such ad hoc/meet me conference instanaces.

ok, should have said that =)
the way you asked sounds like you want to limit the conferencees from 4 to 3
the number is calculated this way:
128 / max ad hoc parameter = max conferences
and also
128 / max unicast meetme = max conferences
the bottomline is that you can have a max of 128 streams divided between ad hoc and meet me conferences, when you start a conference it allocates the max number.
change the numbers and do the math according to how many you want to have

Thanks again..
can we change the maximum streams of 128 to say 64.. I want to limit the dsp resource usage.

that has nothing to do with the DSPs, that's only for the SW CFB on CUCM and the 128 cannot be changed, if you're using HW CFB just change the maximum sessions command under the ios
