Im currently using a Cisco 3845 series router and running (3845-advipservicesk-9m) and CME. I am trying to connect to a Redcomm High Density Exchange Switch. My goal is to be able to make calls from my VOIP phones to my POTS phones. I am looking for a simple step by step configuration guide. any information will be helpful.

Thank you

what type of interface do you have on the Redcomm swithc...T1 PRI ? CAS ? how many calls you want to traverse across this link ? you have to get enough ports then to size this correctly...

QSIG is a protocol used across T1 PRIs to allow for interoperability of PBXes...so i would use that..at the same time i would check what is supported by the Redcomm switch as well...

The redcom has a T1/ E1 card that is capable of doing either PRI or CAS. Right now we have it set up with CAS but I can change it to PRI with QSIG. We would like to have a full T1 worth of calls but can downsize if needed. The part that is giving us the most problems is actually the HDV2 card as well as the dialing-pattern. I think I have a basic understanding of the dialing-patterns but anything you might know would be very helpful.

Thanks

what kind of T1 cas signalling are you using...?
