Connecting 8861 to computer (win10) - call manager

Hi, 

Is there a possibility to "connect" the 8861 to Windows? 

A software that connects the telephone for example. 

- Making a call by clicking phone numbers in email

- Transferring contacts

- Update firmware

Jabber takes care of the first two items on your list. You can click to dial from Outlook contacts, phone numbers on websites, etc. as well as IM, VM access, etc. Firmware is updated in the CUCM interface and then pushed out to phones. No need for additional software on your computer.

I have done some searching for Jabber, but I will then have to have a subscription on Cisco to download this? 

A service contract? 

Is this correct?

Yes, you would need an active contract to download the IM&P server ISO and the Jabber client.
